11. where you sleep.
this year my partner & i bought our first bed! i’ve never purchased a mattress/bed frame before, always got hand me downs. we went to one of those deserted suburban b-list malls and got this brilliant queen sized mattress & box spring delivered to our place for like, $600! that’s a deal right? tell me it’s a deal.
next day he texted me: “grown up purchases. we haz dem!” hell yeah!
before that i was sleeping on the bed that my grandparents had in hong kong in the 50s. the bed my mom was probably made on (unless they had a penchant for the floor, or garden?). the bed was shipped over to canada when they immigrated in the 80s and i slept on it for awhile. wasn’t the best thing but it did the job.
now we have a place for the three of us to rest our heads. comfort!
